The Mavericks trailed the Bulls by as many as 11 points in the first half and despite everyone with the exception of Dirk Nowitzki playing awful, the Mavs managed to hang on to a three-point-lead.
Nowitzki's on an absolute tear with 30 points on 57 percent shooting but the power forward's doing it all on his own. The next highest scorer for Dallas, Shawn Marion, has just eight points and guards Jason Terry, Jason Kidd and JJ Barea have a combined total of nine points.
If the Mavericks can manage to keep the Bulls off the offensive boards, Dallas could see put even more distance between themselves and the Bulls. Chicago has 13 offensive rebounds to Dallas' five and the Mavericks also hold a 9-0 advantage in fast break points.
This has been one of those nights where Nowitzki throws on his cape and the rest of the Mavs are hanging on for the ride.
